Il précise les caractéristiques générales, les définitions, les exigences des produits, ainsi que les méthodes d'essai. Il fait partie d'une série de quatre normes sur les produits de couverture et de bardage. Le présent document ne couvre pas les produits destinés aux constructions de classes structurelles I et II (selon EN 1999-1-4).
