Cet essai s'applique à tous les types de revêtements organiques, y compris les revêtements métallisés, emboutis, texturés, nacrés et imprimés. Les résultats de l'essai permettent d'évaluer la résistance de la tôle prélaquée à l'eau. Cette méthode ne vise pas à reproduire une quelconque condition de condensation.
