What's new in version 2016

1- The scope of the equipment concerned is widened. In the past, there were public lighting installations, traffic lights and various dynamic urban equipment such as rotating billboards or video protection. Complementary today are water fountains, recharging infrastructure for electric vehicles and permanent socket outlets for fairs and markets.

2- Beyond the perimeter, new technical recommendations appear, such as the simplified search for insulation faults using marks at the ends of each cable.

3- Likewise, it is now recommended to clearly identify all the components of the installation. “Agents will waste less time looking for the cause of a malfunction. Enough to lower maintenance costs! ”Explains Christian Mousnier, president of the standardization commission.

4- This new version also incorporates the specificity of the new lighting sources that are the LEDs, thus giving the rules to be respected to protect the equipment against overvoltages.
